NSERC 2021 research grant recipients announced

From the Subarctic to Subatomic Physics several big ideas are being funded at the Faculty of Science. The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) recently announced the recipients of the 2021 Discovery Grants Program.

This program supports ongoing programs of research with long-term goals rather than a single short-term project or collection of projects. They are considered “grants in aid” of research, as they provide long-term operating funds and can facilitate access to funding from other programs, but are not meant to support the full costs of a research program. A full list of recipients can be found on the NSERC website.

The NSERC 2021 Research Discovery Grant Faculty of Science recipients are:

  • Faut Balci (biological sciences) – Neural Basis of Magnitude Representations and Metric Error Monitoring in Mice.
