With the advent of data collection and “big data” technologies, data has become ubiquitous across society. With this copious amounts of data collected creates new challenges. These same technologies and challenges exist throughout transportation and mobility as well. At Miovision, we  provide our customers with technological solutions to collect data about their transportation networks. In this talk, I will discuss how we use data science to make the data more consumable for our customers.  I will focus the conversation around our recent Intersection Health feature,

Dr. Maximilen Schirm is a Technical Director at Miovision in Kitchener, Ontario, where he leads a team of data scientists solving the world’s traffic problems with data. He began his post-academic career as a Data Scientist at Electronic Arts, where he used data to help improve the player experience in mobile games. In 2015, he graduated with a Ph.D. in Physics and Astronomy from McMaster University, where he studied molecular gas in nearby galaxies.
