This workshop introduces basic and intermediate concepts in Python and provides hands-on experience.
This workshop introduces basic and intermediate concepts in R and provides hands-on experience. Participants will learn how to program with R interactively, and how to understand data and tell data stories in RStudio.
This workshop is at an advanced level of Python and provides hands-on experience. This workshop focuses on two Python packages: pandas, for data analysis and manipulation; and numpy, for numerical computations with arrays. Prior knowledge of Python is recommended.
Through hands-on experience, this workshop introduces the suite of packages known as the tidyverse. Participants will learn how to use manipulate data and produce quality data visualizations tools. Prior knowledge of R and RStudio is recommended.
This is the first part of a workshop on machine learning in Python. In this part, participants will learn the basics of the scikit-learn module. Examples will focus on logistic regression and Naive Bayes methods, and introduce the notion of feature selection. Prior knowledge of Python is recommended.
Description to come.
This is the second part of a workshop on machine learning in Python. In this part, participants will focus on data visualization in Python and be introduced to more advanced machine learning methods (e.g. Support Vector Machines and Random Forests). Prior knowledge of Python is recommended.
This workshop will introduce participants to spatial data analysis and modeling in R. Through hands-on teaching, they will learn how to plot and analyse geospatial data. Prior knowledge of R and RStudio is recommended.
