Collier was a key member of the executive team that led La-Z-Boy’s significant turnaround, strategic repositioning and growth after the 2009 financial crisis, leading to a market cap increase from $66 million in early 2009 to over $1.5 billion by 2019. Prior to La-Z-Boy, he served on the executive team of Sleep Number Corporation, where he held the role of EVP/Chief Marketing Officer. Doug was also on the executive team of Iomega Corporation, a $1 billion publicly-held technology company, at which he held the role of SVP, Product Management and President International. He began his career in the appliance industry, where he served in a variety of product management, strategy and business development roles at GE Canada and with Whirlpool in the U.S., Germany and Italy.

Doug Collier is a board director and advisor for several private companies in the consumer products industry in North America and internationally.  He is also an active early-stage investor and advisor in many companies from Chicago to London in industries from food and beverage to industrial and consumer technology.

Doug spent most of his career as a global corporate executive, most recently with La-Z-Boy, a $1.7 billion home furnishings retailer and manufacturer, where he held the roles of SVP/Chief Commercial Officer and President International. He earned his MBA from the University of Toronto and graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science.

Doug lives in St. Joseph, MI with his wife Ronda.
