Mr. Marshal Ring

Mr. Ring graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1998 with a Master’s Degree in Natural Resources Management, specializing in Community Economic Development.  Today he is privileged to be working with leading Canadian innovators and entrepreneurs as CEO of the Manitoba Technology Accelerator (MTA), one of Canada’s highest performing, and nationally recognized technology commercialization programs.  As a private sector, not-for-profit, business incubation program MTA invests people and resources into early-stage science and technology companies to help commercialize their innovation.

Mr. Ring’s experience and skill sets enable him to bring valuable assets to organizational thinking including new corporate strategies and innovative business models supported by emerging technology concepts.  Additionally he has a high level of awareness on emerging macro themes such as consumer acceptance and use of technology and rules, regulations and policies that support and enable technology adoption.

Mr. Ring is also an active community member, mainly through his active involvement with his four daughters and their school, church and sports interests.  In addition to time volunteering with Pacific Junction Elementary School and Ecole Charleswood, Mr. Ring holds a formal position on as Secretary on the Board of Directors with the APHA Rangers Hockey Association, and is co-founder and manager of the Manitoba Knights, an Angel investor group which invests into Manitoba’s most exciting early stage technology companies.
