Academic Assessment Rules are Changing in the Faculty of Science

Did you know that your academic standing is assessed at the end of every term? All students in the Faculty of Science are required to meet certain minimum academic standards. Currently, the minimum standard is based on the number of F grades accumulated throughout your academic history – you cannot exceed 36 credit hours of F gradesBeginning in Fall 2021, the assessment will be based on DGPA. This can have serious implications for students, so it is important for you to understand what this change means for you.

The Science advisors have gathered online resources to help you understand the new regulations and how they may affect you, and to support you as you work to ensure your DGPA meets the new minimum standard. Our website includes a full explanation of the new assessment rules and a list of academic and personal resources available to help support you along the wayClick here to access this information.

All Faculty of Science students are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the new regulations now.
