About Horace Luong
Horace was born and raised in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. He completed a BSc (Honours) at Dalhousie University in 2003 and a Ph.D. at the University of Victoria in 2008. Spending almost five years under the supervision of Professor Tom Fyles, Horace conducted research in the area of solid-phase synthesized ion channels. Following his graduate studies, he then worked with Professor Cornelia Bohne (University of Victoria) for a short post-doctoral fellow term before relocating to the University of Manitoba.
Horace not only believes in educating the leaders of tomorrow in chemistry, but he is also a strong believer of building a healthy community through ballroom dancing and tai chi practice. Visit Horace’s personal page for more information.
